Posting to TikTok

The settings TikTok asks you to choose for every post

TikTok posts are made in the Content Calendar. Click Schedule Content, pick a video, then click TikTok in the platform list: it is never selected for you.

TikTok asks you to choose these yourself for every post, so nothing is filled in in advance:

  • The account: the post goes to one TikTok account, shown as Posting to.
  • Who can view this video: Everyone, Friends, Followers or Only me, whichever your account offers.
  • Allow users to: Comment, Duet and Stitch all start off. Any your account has turned off stay off.
  • Disclose video content: turn it on if the video promotes goods or services, then tick Your brand (labeled Promotional content), Branded content (labeled Paid partnership) or both. Branded content cannot be set to Only me.
  • AI-generated content: tick it if AI created or heavily changed the video.

The video must be no longer than your account allows; PromoPilot checks this. By posting you agree to TikTok's Music Usage Confirmation, and to its Branded Content Policy when the post is branded content. After you post, TikTok may take a few minutes to process the video before it appears on your profile.

Until TikTok approves PromoPilot's app, TikTok only accepts posts set to Only me, so that is the only choice offered. Branded content cannot be private, so a post ticked as Branded content can only go out once TikTok approves the app: untick it to post now.

TikTok cannot be posted to from the MCP server, ad workflows, UGC autopilot or the older media Schedule page, because they cannot ask you for these settings. If TikTok says your account cannot post right now (for example it has reached its daily limit), try again later.
