Publish is what turns your draft pages into a live site on the internet. When you click Publish, PromoPilot renders every page to static HTML, uploads the HTML and assets to S3 behind our CloudFront CDN, and creates a published version record you can roll back to later.
Propagation time
About 60 seconds. That is the TTL we set on the HTML at the edge. If you have a CloudFront distribution wired up, we also fire a best-effort invalidation so the new HTML shows up at the edges immediately.
Checks before going live
Links that name a page by its short address, like /thank-you or /about, are pointed at the real page first. Then every page is checked the way a visitor would use it. If something would break it (a form that refuses every sign-up, a checkout with nothing to sell, a link to a page that does not exist), nothing is published and a checklist shows what to fix. Things that work but probably not the way you meant are listed while it publishes.
Your free subdomain
Every published site uses this pattern:
<your-sites-address>.sites.promo-pilot.com
Every brand gets its own address when it is created: its name in lowercase with hyphens, plus a number when another brand already uses that name (acme-studio, then acme-studio-2). It never changes, so links you share keep working. The Custom domain page of any website shows it. A funnel adds a funnel slug and step slug to the path; a website adds a page slug, and its own address shows its homepage. For example: acme-studio.sites.promo-pilot.com/launch/checkout.
Images
Images you upload in the asset library or the image picker, and product and course covers, can be shown on your published pages. Files people buy stay private and only reach buyers.
Custom domains
You can also serve your sites from a subdomain you own, like buy.yourbrand.com. Open a site, choose Custom domain, add the subdomain, then create the two DNS records shown (a TXT record that proves you own it and a CNAME that points at PromoPilot) at your DNS provider. PromoPilot checks the records, issues the SSL certificate and marks the domain Active; one domain serves every published funnel and website of the brand.
Version history
Every publish creates a version row. Open the History tab in the editor to see every published version and restore any prior version with one click. The restore creates a new version on top of the stack, so your edit history is never lost.
