Connect a brand to Google Ads to see spend, clicks, conversions and conversion value for every campaign, ad group and ad, in the same Ads area as your Meta campaigns.
Google Ads is in limited preview while Google reviews PromoPilot's access, so it may not show on your account yet. PromoPilot reads your Google Ads campaigns and does not change them. The only campaigns it creates or changes are the YouTube promotions you start in PromoPilot (see Promote a YouTube Video).
How to Connect
- Open Ads in the sidebar, click Accounts, and scroll to the Google Ads section.
- Tick the box that lets PromoPilot store copies of your Google Ads results, then click Connect Google Ads.
- Sign in with the Google account that can open your Google Ads account, and allow access.
- Pick the Google Ads account for this brand. Accounts you reach through a manager account are listed under that manager. If the Google account can open only one, PromoPilot picks it for you.
PromoPilot then copies the last 90 days. After that it refreshes every 2 hours while your campaigns are spending, every 12 hours otherwise, and re-reads the last month every night because Google keeps adding conversions to recent clicks. Each brand reads one Google Ads account. Use Change account to switch, and Sync now to refresh straight away.
What You See
- Ads > Campaigns lists every Google Ads campaign under In Google Ads, next to In Meta, with spend, clicks, CTR, conversions and conversion value.
- Open a campaign to see its ad groups and ads, each ad's review status (approved, disapproved or under review), and why Google limits it when it does (for example a budget that runs out).
- Ads > ROAS adds your Google Ads totals and a daily spend and clicks chart for the same date range as your Meta numbers.
- From an AI assistant on PromoPilot's MCP server, get_google_ads_report, list_google_ads_campaigns, get_google_ads_campaign, get_google_ads_status and sync_google_ads read the same numbers.
Money is shown in your Google Ads account's currency, and days follow its time zone. Numbers for the last few days can still grow, as Google records conversions after the click.
Access and Privacy
Google's consent screen asks for permission to see and manage your Google Ads accounts, because Google offers no read-only permission for Google Ads. PromoPilot reads your campaigns and only changes the YouTube promotions you create in it, each created paused and switched on only when you confirm. Disconnect at any time from Ads > Accounts: PromoPilot deletes its access and every result it copied, and your campaigns in Google Ads stay as they are. You can also remove PromoPilot from your Google Account's third-party connections page, but that also disconnects YouTube, Google Analytics and Google Drive if you connected them with the same Google account.
Troubleshooting
- "No Google Ads accounts": connect with a Google account that has access to your Google Ads account, or ask its owner to add that Google account as a user in Google Ads, then click Refresh list.
- "Needs reconnecting": Google stopped accepting PromoPilot's access, for example because it was removed in the Google account or went unused for six months. Click Reconnect Google Ads.
- "Google has not approved PromoPilot for live Google Ads accounts yet": PromoPilot is waiting for Google; try again later.
- Numbers differ a little from Google Ads: recent conversions are still arriving, and the next sync catches up.
