Boost a Post (Promoted Posts)

Turn a published post into a real Meta ad

Boost a Post lets you promote an already-published Facebook or Instagram post as a real Meta ad, directly from PromoPilot.

How to boost a post

  1. Open a published post in the Content Calendar and press Boost (or go to Ads > Promoted Posts > New boost)
  2. Pick the ad account, objective, total budget, duration, countries and, if you want, who should see it: ages, gender and detailed targeting
  3. Press Stage boost - the ad is created on Meta fully paused
  4. Review it on the Promoted Posts page and press Activate to go live

Safety by design

  • Nothing spends on staging - every Meta object is created paused; activation is a separate step
  • Budget capped by Meta - the lifetime budget and end date live on the ad set itself
  • Brand ceiling - a per-brand daily spend ceiling blocks over-committing across boosts
  • Full audit trail - every action is logged per boost

Performance and verdicts

Delivery data (spend, impressions, clicks, hook rate, CTR) syncs from Meta every 30 minutes. Each boost carries an advisory verdict badge: Learning until it has about 2,000 impressions and 24 hours of runtime, then Healthy, Watch, or Kill based on hook rate and CTR benchmarks. Click a boost to see its daily performance and event log, or press Sync now for a fresh pull.

UGC auto-boost

With UGC Autopilot, enable Auto-boost posts in the Autopilot panel and every published UGC post becomes a small paid test automatically, with auto-stop always enforced. Review mode stages each boost for one-click approval; full auto activates them immediately.

Create Ad wizard

Ads > Create Ad builds a whole Meta ad from a plain brief: AI drafts the goal, copy and (for lead ads) form questions, you pick or AI-create a lead form and push it to Meta, choose the creative, set audience and budget, then stage the ad paused for one-click activation.

Goals: Awareness, Website visits, Engagement, Leads, Messages, App installs, Sales and Page likes, each mapped to the matching Meta objective. Sales ads ask for the Meta pixel and the purchase event to optimise for; app install ads use the app id and store link from the brand ads settings; message ads open Messenger or Instagram depending on the account the ad runs as; Page likes ads run on Facebook as your Page with a Like Page button.

Ads shown in the EU must name who they promote and who pays for them. When you target an EU country, the Audience step asks for both names once and saves them for the brand (or set them on Ads > Accounts).

If Meta refuses an ad while it is being staged, PromoPilot deletes the campaign it had started, so a retry never leaves empty campaigns behind in Ads Manager.

Creative: a single image, a video, or a carousel of 2 to 10 cards, each with its own headline. Upload JPEG, PNG or WebP images up to 8MB and MP4, MOV or WebM videos up to 50MB, generate an AI image or UGC video, or reuse anything from your library.

Audience: age, gender, countries and detailed targeting, plus any custom audiences from Ads > Audiences to include or exclude.

Boosting requires a connected Meta ad account under Ads > Accounts.
