Thumbnail Studio
Design YouTube cover images (1280x720) with a dedicated editor and AI helpers, then attach the result to any scheduled YouTube post.
Where to find it
- Brand settings - Brands → Manage → Thumbnails tab lists every style you own.
- Scheduling calendar - the YouTube platform panel shows "Use Brand Style" alongside AI Generate.
- Edit post page - YouTube scheduled posts show a Quick: Use Default Style button and a style picker.
What you can do
- AI chat editing - type instructions like "move the badge down" or "make it pop" and the editor applies the changes. 1 credit per turn.
- AI background generation - describe a scene and Nano Banana 2 returns a ready-to-use background. 4 credits per generation.
- AI auto-fill from post content - when you open the editor from a scheduled post, Claude reads your caption and composes a title, subtitle, and badge automatically. You will see an "Auto-filled from your post content" badge you can dismiss. 1 credit per auto-fill.
- Manual editing - click text to edit, drag the handle to move layers, swap theme, font, pills, author, and corner number.
Attaching to a scheduled post
When the editor is opened from a scheduled post (the URL includes scheduled_post_id), saving the design exports the PNG, uploads it, and sets it as the YouTube thumbnail for that post. You will see the thumbnail appear on the post edit page with a "Re-edit in Thumbnail Editor" link.
Tips
- Set one style as default per brand so the Quick: Use Default button works instantly.
- Duplicate a style before large changes so you keep a working copy.
- Keep title text under two short lines for legibility at small sizes.
