What this feature does
Ad Manager Phase 1 lets you connect a Meta (Facebook) ad account to PromoPilot and stream Lead Ads directly into your CRM in real time. Every lead form submission is captured by webhook, turned into a CRM contact, attributed to the originating campaign, and routed into your default sales pipeline so your team can follow up without copy-pasting from Ads Manager.
Prerequisites
- You must be an admin of the Facebook Page running the Lead Ads.
- The Page must belong to a Business Manager you control.
- Lead routing into a pipeline is included with every paid module.
How to connect
- Go to Settings > Ads.
- Click Connect Meta Ad Account.
- Authorize PromoPilot in the Facebook OAuth dialog and select the Pages and ad accounts you want us to monitor.
- PromoPilot subscribes to
leadgenwebhook events on each selected Page. New leads arrive within seconds of being submitted.
How leads land in the CRM
When a lead form is submitted, PromoPilot creates (or updates) a CRM contact using the email or phone as the unique key. We record first-touch and last-touch attribution: the campaign, ad set, ad name, and the form fields are stored on the contact under the Attribution tab. Contacts created from Meta Lead Ads are tagged source:meta-lead-ad so you can filter and segment them later.
UTM tracking on web traffic
A new middleware captures utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, and utm_content from any inbound page view and stores them in a short-lived cookie. When that visitor later submits a form or becomes a contact, the UTM values are recorded as an attribution event on the contact timeline.
Default pipeline routing
- Open Pipelines from the sidebar.
- Open the pipeline you want to use as the default.
- Click Set as default.
From that point on, every new Meta Lead Ad contact is automatically placed into the first stage of that pipeline. You can change the default at any time and it only affects future leads.
Viewing the lead activity log
Open Settings > Ads > Activity to see the live log of webhook deliveries, including the lead ID, form name, ad name, and the resulting CRM contact. Failed deliveries are retried automatically and surfaced here for debugging.
