Page likes ads and ads shown in the EU

Grow your Facebook Page, and the names Meta needs on EU ads

Two things that matter when you run Meta ads from PromoPilot: growing your Facebook Page, and the names every ad shown in the EU must carry.

Page likes ads

  • In Ads > Create Ad, pick the Page likes goal.
  • The ad runs on Facebook only, as your Facebook Page, with a Like Page button. Pick the Facebook Page under Run as.
  • Use a single image or video; carousels are not available for this goal.
  • Results are the Page likes the ad brings.
  • MCP: create_wizard_ad with goal page_likes and the Facebook Page as social_account_id.

Ads shown in the EU

Under the EU Digital Services Act, an ad shown in an EU country must name who it promotes (the beneficiary) and who pays for it (the payer). Meta refuses the ad without them.

  • When you target an EU country, the Create Ad wizard asks for both names on the Audience step and saves them for the brand. You can also set or change them under EU ad transparency on Ads > Accounts.
  • Boosts and campaigns use the same names.
  • If the ad account already has default names in Meta, those are used.
  • MCP: get_ads_settings shows the names, update_ads_settings sets them.

Budgets and failed tries

Meta needs a minimum spend per day. PromoPilot stages each ad with an end date its budget covers, and if Meta still refuses an ad while it is being staged, PromoPilot deletes the campaign it had started, so nothing is left behind in Ads Manager.
